Assistant Insolvency Manager Job

Assistant Insolvency Manager

  • Day to day management of a portfolio of cases from cradle to grave including Administrations, Liquidations and Bankruptcies.
  • Reports directly to Insolvency Practitioners / Partners on agreed case strategies and progress towards.
  • Manages insolvency team effectively and develops their technical and practical skills for the benefit of the individual and wider firm.
  • Ensure all corporate cases are compliant in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that worked is delegated and ensure that cases are progressed efficiently.
  • Monitoring job WIP and costs to budget.
  • Collate monthly billing
  • Maintain records of chargeable time spent on case work.
  • Awareness of the department budget and reviewing fees drawn each month
  • Make decisions with supporting information and record appropriately.
  • Review all communication to ensure it meets all company standards.
  • Assist team members with their day to day responsibilities.
  • Deal with day to day written correspondence.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries varying in complexity.
  • Attend and assist at meetings both in and out of the office when required.
  • Assist Marketing with industry knowledge and public relations.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external professionals.
  • Suggest improvements to increase income and reduce expenditure and implement the improvements.
  • Liaise with work introducers as and when required.
  • Support the Firm’s external networking occasionally and be proactive in identifying possible opportunities for new work.
  • Coach and mentor staff with their personal development.

Personal Skills

  • Possess excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure work is progressed in a timely and proactive manner from inception to closure.
  • Demonstrate ambition and drive to develop and grow the team (including themselves) using their own initiative and with the support of a forward-thinking organisation.
  • Desire to work towards / achieved CPI and JIEB qualification

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive and in-depth corporate recovery experience.
  • CPI and JIEB qualifications desirable.
  • Accountancy qualification desirable.

Salary:

  • Dependent upon experience.
